Refuse disposal and Cleaning Both the daily accumulation of fruit, vegetable and flower refuse and packaging materials are collected and sorted at the deposit point. The administrative cooperative Großmarkt Hamburg Verwaltungsgenossenschaft e.G. is in charge of cleaning services. 90% of the refuse and packaging handed in at the deposit point is recycled. Heating Plant In winter the wholesale market hall’s own heating plant ensures that the temperature never falls below + 3°C. The flower hall is kept at or above + 12°C. The heating plant also meets the requirements of the offices and the produce handling halls. Repairs Firms are available on site to repair fork-lift trucks, electric trucks, batteries and scales.
